In the ferry harbour areas in Den Helder and on the island of Texel
In the ferry harbour there are wheelchair accessible lavatories for passengers with disabilities. You can make us of the wheelchairs provided. Use of a wheelchair requires a deposit of € 2.00. There is a bicycle ramp to the bicycle decks of the ships which you can use if you are in a wheelchair or if you wish to avoid the stairs.
Have you arrived by car and do you have difficulty walking? After passing the counters in Den Helder please park your car in the downstairs waiting area (please bear left when approaching the ferry). This way you will not have to use the stairs in order to get to the kiosk “Bij de Boot” and to the lavatories. Coming from the upstairs waiting area the facilities are only accessible by stars.
On board the ships
Our ships are equipped with elevators that will take you from the car decks and the bicycle deck to the saloon. Here you can treat yourself to a snack and a drink and enjoy the beautiful view over the sea gate Marsdiep and the Wadden Sea. On the saloon deck you will find lavatories including wheelchair accessible lavatories for disabled passengers. Should you have a question while you are on the saloon deck please address our staff at the buffet. We will be happy to assist you.
