Travelling to Texel by car?

Are you travelling to Texel by car? Drive to Den Helder and then follow the signs for Texel. Enter your destination on Texel in your navigation system, if known. If not, use the following address: Pontweg 1 in Den Hoorn.

This will take you straight to the terminal or to the access gates if you have an e-ticket and have registered your license plate.

Leaving your car in Den Helder?

Do you want to leave your car in Den Helder and travel on to Texel without it? In that case, follow the signs “P Texel”, “Afhalen + Wegbrengen” in Den Helder. If you are using a navigation system, you should enter the following address in your navigation system: Havenplein 3, Den Helder.

You will find the entrance to the ferry for pedestrians and cyclists next to the parking area.

By public transport

The ferry terminal in Den Helder is easily accessible by public transport. Take bus 33 from Den Helder railway station. The bus stops at the main entrance to the ferry for pedestrians and cyclists.

Bus 33 also runs from the ferry terminal back to Den Helder railway station. When disembarking, follow the signs to the bus. Please note: The bus does not leave from the main terminal entrance. Leave the ferry on the right-hand site to reach the bus. The bus departs once an hour, providing a connecting service with the ferry.
